Meet Tiffany from Milton Keynes, UK! 13 year old Tiffany (at the time) used excessive heat on her hair because she wanted to fit in. Years later, Tiffany finds an interest in studying all about curls and has seen her tight ringlets blossom over the years. She says she now appreciates her hair as she shares her story with us!

The Journey

What inspired you to return natural?

I'm a 28 yr old crazy dog lady from Milton Keynes located in the UK.
I started straightening my hair when I was around 13 because I thought at the time I wanted to fit in. Then about 2 years ago I started noticing all these beautiful women embracing their natural curls.
I was convinced mine would never be the same but I did so much research and sought help from my close friend who is a hairdresser and my curls have been brought back to life.

I had to go through the big chop at first, I didn't have long hair but I had very bleach damaged hair and I knew it was the right step. I had spent so long bleaching my hair and experimenting with colours that it was hard not to go back to my old ways.

I'm having so much fun exploring products and new ways of looking after my hair. I love the compliments I get and how many people think its a perm! The journey was tough but it was worth it, I appreciate my hair so much more and I'm so excited to see what else I can discover on this curl journey because I know it's not over yet!

What were the challenges (if any) along the way of your healthy hair journey?

I found it hard in the in-between stage where your hair isn't curly and it isn't straight, it's just frizz! I would get so upset when struggling to style it but actually, now I think it was all worth it. I appreciate my hair so much more now knowing what I went through to get it to where it is now.

What is your number 1 curl tip?

My tip would be to keep up with hair treatments, whatever may be best for your hair. It's not only good for your curl but it's a great way to pamper yourself!

Discovering Flora & Curl

What made you buy Flora & Curl products? How did you hear about us?

I found out through research. I was looking for natural products and that's exactly what I found. I brought the Citrus Superfruit Radiance Oil first and I was hooked after one sniff, the products smell amazing. After this, I wanted to explore more and that's exactly what I'm doing.

How did you see your hair change after using Flora & Curl products?

The definition in my curls changed massively, there was also this shine that I didn't have before.

Which Flora & Curl product is your favourite and why?

The Citrus Superfruit Radiance Oil is my favourite so far, it give my hair a shine which I've never had before.

What is your current Flora & Curl haircare routine?

I'm still working towards a full Flora & Curl routine but so far I use the Coconut Mint Curl Refresh Clay Wash once a week for a deep condition and I use the Citrus Superfruit Radiance Oil when my hair is soaking wet to lock in the moisture.

What sets Flora & Curl apart from other brands/products on the market?

It's natural and affordable. The products go a long way so they last ages!

Just look at that transformation from Tiffany! How amazing is that?! You should be so proud of yourself! Notice how a lot of curlies say "the journey was tough but it was worth it"? It doesn't happen over night, but it's a rewarding experience.
