Best Oil For Natural Hair | Best Oil For Curly Hair

At Flora & Curl we love our Natural Hair oils!
Whether it's oils found in our Flower Garden Hair Butter, our pure Superfruit Hair Oil formula or picking any one of our favourite oils for moisturising and sealing or deep conditioning with, then I'm sure you know why and how choosing the best oil for curly hair is important.

Here are a list of hand-picked natural hair oils that we at Flora & Curl have chosen to help enhance our wonderful products you all love so much.

Coconut Oil
Rich in lauric acid, Coconut oil has a high affinity for hair protein. It easily penetrates the hair shaft because of its low molecular weight. Not to mention its gorgeous tropical smell!

Sweet Almond Oil
This oil contains a high concentration of Vitamins A, B and E, all of which help add shine and brightness to dull and dry hair. Also containing fatty acids Omega 3, 6 and 9, it helps to reflect damaging UV rays and protect hair from the sun. This helps prevent hair becoming dull. Sweet Almond Oil is extremely nourishing to not only the lengths of our hair but the roots as well. Almond oil is lighter than many other helpful oils, which makes it an excellent natural resource for leave-in protection.

Argan Oil
Argan Oil have natural antioxidants, strengthening the hair by repairing damage. The Vitamin E in Argan oil makes it a tremendous agent for hair treatment. Many external and internal agents like heat and over styling damage the hair. Vitamin E in Argan oil is very useful in restoring the natural hair and renewing and repairing the damage caused by heat, chemicals or other destructive agents. Unsaturated fatty acids like Omega 3 and 9 in Argan oil are a rich source of essential nutritional components for hair shafts and roots. These unsaturated fatty acids strengthen the protein bonding structures in dry natural hair, thereby improving the strength of hair and healing split ends.

Camellia Oil

This is a Japanese oil with a sweet, herbal aroma. It is made from the seeds of the Camellia flower and is a great source of unsaturated fats (similar to Olive oil and Grapeseed oil). When used on hair, camellia oil helps to condition the hair shaft, stimulate scalp circulation, and promote healthy hair growth by preventing breakage and split ends. Camellia oil is commonly used as a leave-in, best when applied to damp hair such as after showering. Geishas and Maikos apply a lot, for the distinct Japanese traditional glossy hair look they prefer.

Grapeseed Oil

This oil contains Vitamin E, which is necessary for hair growth and health. The extensive proteins, minerals, and the linoleic acid it contains also offer a lot of benefits for our hair. A hot oil treatment using Grapeseed oil will help your hair look shiny, but not feel greasy.

Avocado Oil

Being an edible oil, Avocado oil is pressed from the avocado fruit and not the seed. It is high in monounsaturated fats and Vitamin E, and is quickly absorbed by skin and hair. Vitamins B and E in avocado oil strengthen hair and boost cellular level, replenishing hair and rejuvenating the scalp for hair growth.

Safflower Oil

This oil helps protects hair, nourishes hair follicles, moisturises, and stimulates blood circulation to promote hair growth and thickness.

Rice Bran Oil

A richly nourishing and nutrient-dense carrier oil. It has one of the softest and most velvety feels amongst carrier oils.

Jojoba Oil

This oil has balancing properties. If there is too much sebum build-up on the scalp, it dissolves and removes the sebum therefore keeping the scalp and hair in harmonious balance.

Baobab Oil

Coming from the Baobab tree, native to Africa, it blooms once a year. This rare oil warms well, and is known for its hair repairing properties as it contains one of the highest levels of antioxidants that protects hair from sun damage and heat styling damage.

Manketti Oil

Coming from the nuts of the Mongongo fruit trees, Manketti oil can be found in the deep sands of the Kalahari. It is tough in nature as it can survive droughts and massive ranges in temperatures. It has been used for centuries for its nutritive value and environmental protective properties.

Kalahari Oil

Containing a high level of copper which helps the production of melanin. It is responsible for keeping hair colour intact.

Papaya Oil

This oil is extracted from the sweet and delicious papaya fruit seeds. It helps to repair split ends and is known to restrict dandruff and protects from ultraviolet rays, making it an all-natural sunscreen.

Tangerine Fruit Oil

Citrus essential oils provide exceptional purifying benefits as they clean and deodorize our scalp. Naturally soothing, it help with controlling dryness of the scalp and dandruff.

Sweet Orange Fruit Oil

Similar to citrus oils, it is rich in Vitamin C, it dilates the blood capillaries to enhance nourishment to the follicles as a way to strengthen the hair roots and stimulate their growth.

We have collection of best oil for natural hair that will nourish your curls and make them healthy.
