Smells great

The shampoo is good but I feel the clay wash makes my hair feel more mosturises and adds definition to my hair. The oil is good.

So addictive

I love this gel so much! The smell, ingredients, the performance, longevity throughout the week, I can go on and on. Obviously, I would love a bigger size but luckily a little bit goes a long way. I would recommend for those looking to tame frizz, add shine and moisture and hold to their curls.

How To Find The Right Moisturiser For Dry Natural Hair

How To Find The Right Moisturiser For Dry Natural Hair

Choosing the right moisturiser can be hard, especially for our different hair types as afro textured hair can be naturally dry. So with many different brands and moisturisers out there, it's no wonder we struggle to find which ones work best for our tresses.

DO YOU KNOW YOUR HAIRS POROSITY

Porosity is how the cuticles lay along the hair shaft.  If your hair is low porosity then the cuticles don't open up and moisture can’t get in.
If your cuticles are too open, then your hair can tangle and frizz easily. This results in having high porosity hair.

DEEP CONDITIONING

Moisturising our hair can come in many different ways. Moisturising after wash day and during the week is the most common way to moisturise our hair, but there are other ways to moisturise too. For example deep conditioning. Using in direct heat opens up the hair cuticle and allows the conditioner to enter into the hair shaft and penetrate more. Allowing the hair to retain moisture.

LEAVE-IN CONDITIONERS

Leave-in conditioners help to retain moisture straight after the wash day process. Not only after wash day, but leave-in conditioners can be great daily moisturisers too. The same can be said for lightweight daily conditioners.

DAILY MOISTURISERS

These are good enough to use on a daily basis. Just remember that some moisturisers do contain protein. Therefore if you are protein sensitive, it can depend on how frequent you use a particular moisturiser.

Our signature Flower Garden Butter is a deeply nourishing styling cream for curly hair for ultra shine, moisture and definition.

A rich and soft butter curl cream formulated for scalp and hair that is begging for moisture. Has your hair every said thank you? If not, this butter is the key to hearing your hair say those words. This pink, velvety textured treat with its sweet and grounding essence of freshly picked rose petals, is infused with the goodness of flowers and herbs to leave your hair feeling petal-soft. Never worry about dry hair again. Every time you style your hair, you're simultaneously nourishing your hair and scalp.

Key Ingredients:

  • Shea Butter, Almond Oil and Coconut Oil - Formulated without water, wax or emulsifiers — allowing the benefits of the raw ingredients to be fully realised. Entirely made with hair-softening ingredients, it melts nicely between your fingers ready to be absorbed by your strands. It packs a punch so a little goes a very long way - made without water, wax or thickeners.
  • Hibiscus Flower - This Ayurvedic flower is rich in antioxidants and imparts shine to the hair while promoting healthy growth. Hibiscus has been used since ancient times for its ability to delay pre-mature graying. Hibiscus is rich in amino acids, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and alpha Hydroxyl acid which aid in hair growth, hair loss and hair regrowth.
  • Camellia Oil - Camellia oil is an ancient Japanese oil with a sweet, herbal aroma. Geishas and Maikos apply a lot, for the distinct Japanese traditional glossy hair look they prefer.

Summary of benefits:

  • Infused with ayurvedic flowers and herbs in our Root Blossom™Complex to promote hair growth and thickness
  • Provides soft hold and definition without being crunchy - perfect for protective styles, twists outs, bantu knot outs and braids
  • Nutrient-rich oils penetrate deep into all layers to provide all-day nourishment
  • Delivers superior moisture sealing ability

Bioactive Ingredients:

  • Root Blossom™ Complex: A delicate proprietary blend of 7 floral and herbal extracts, including Hibiscus and Green Tea that provide essential nutrients to strengthen, stimulate and boost hair growth.

Remember, moisturising with natural ingredients is key. Whether you like to LOC or LCO to keep the moisture in, an oil as a sealant is perfect for helping to retain moisturise on your parched tresses.

Naturally yours,

Team Flora & Curl
