How to use

Pro-Tip: Scrunch your curls, or finger coil your curls to support curl definition and shape formation.

Step 1

Pump a generous amount into your palms.
Step 2

Distribute it evenly on wet or damp hair, from root to tip using a comb or your fingers, and allow hair to air dry.
Step 3

This moisturising blend is great for priming your curl pattern to be styled or simply to re-activate your curls during the week.
Step 4

Works wonderfully as a moisturising and setting primer before applying the Sweet Hibiscus Curl Defining Gel.

Not for my hair

Would like to return full size product. Received sachet free with bundle & product doesn’t work with my hair, is too heavy and weighs it down, almost to the point of being greasy. I have used the curl defining gel and volume mousse for a few years now and they work great, alone. The curl activating gel does not improve these products, it makes hair flat and limp, regardless of how much or how little I use.

We completely understand how disappointing it is when a new product doesn't deliver the results you were hoping for, especially when you've had such a positive experience with our Curl Defining Gel and Curl Volumizing Foam over the years.

We generally recommend taking a 'less is more' approach when using our products and building up the product gradually if needed, as using too much can sometimes leave finer or easily weighed-down hair feeling flat. That said, we appreciate that every head of hair is unique, and sometimes a product simply isn't the right match.

The activating lotion

The activating lotion is light and easy to use, keeps my curls tight but without crunch or grease, the curls are much softer. I wet my hair each morning and apply the lotion to avoid frizz and keep the curls under control. The look is very natural.
