Getting Rid Of Dandruff For Natural Curly Hair

If you've ever suffered from dandruff, then you know what a pain it can be. Flaking, itching and by the end of it having a tender scalp. But what is dandruff?
Dandruff is a scalp condition that causes flakes to appear.  Your sebaceous gland produces sebum which makes your skin and scalp really oily. The oil almost causes a barrier, not allowing the scalp to shed any dead skin cells. The dandruff occurs as the oils and dead skin cells dry together. This is where Clay washing comes in. It is a natural healing clay that lifts toxins and gets rid of impurities.

Clay washing will help cleanse your tresses naturally without stripping it of all essential moisture and proteins. As clay washing is an important step to any hair regime, take a look at our Curl Refreshing Clay Wash.

Benefits Of Clay Washing:

  • Clay minerals purify and absorb dirt and build-up from the scalp
  • Organic banana and coconut intensely conditions and detangles
  • Micro minerals in clays and mint oils stimulate scalp and promote hair growth and retain length
  • Visibly enhances curl definition
  • Perfect for dry hair and scalp in need of a refreshing detox
  • Protects hair and scalp for infections
  • Gives your hair an amazing natural shine
  • Provides moisture and conditions the hair
Nature's most healing earth clays of Morrocan Lava (Rhassoul) Clay and Bentonite Clay purify the scalp of build-up and dirt better, while fruit powders of organic Coconut and Banana powder deep condition overworked strands, bringing your tired curls back to life.
Our unique cleansing formula is a 2-in-1 purifying and conditioning Clay Wash. It is infused with wild medicinal plant oils of Lavender, Peppermint and Eucalyptus, which stimulate blood circulation in the scalp, improve penetration of the active components into hair follicles, thereby providing maximum activity of the treatment. It gently cleanses your hair, while strengthening and encouraging its growth to reveal stronger and firmer strands, bringing shine, definition and vitality back to even the dullest strands.

Make The Most Of Your Clay Wash

As the clay comes in a powdered type form, a liquid is needed to make the clay more of a pliable consistency turning it into a clay hair masque. While water is great and is our hairs number one moisturiser, many naturalistas use liquids such a Aloe Vera juice, Rose water or even a little ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar).
Applying a clay wash couldn't be simpler. To wash your hair: In a small plastic bowl, mix 2 tbsp of the treatment with 4 tbsp of warm water to activate the treatment. Apply the treatment to your hair and roots, and let the treatment sit on hair for 8-15 minutes under a plastic cap. Then allow hair to be rinsed thoroughly with warm water and be amazed! - Using a metal spoon or bowl will lessen the effects of the clay.
Tip: For best results apply on damp, already detangled hair and apply mixture in twisted sections. Cover shoulders with towel before starting.
How do you like to use your clay wash on wash day?
Naturally yours,
Kaisha
